What is Handmade Business Wednesday?

Handmade Business Wednesday is a weekly blog share party (aka ‘link party’) for UK based creative businesses.

 Why join in?

There are lots of good reasons to join.

By sharing your blog post you can get more visitors and readers who will comment on your website. It can certainly increase your website traffic, but what’s more it shows your potential customers that your website is popular, worth the visit and to shop with you. You will also be joining a group of like-minded creative people – a perfect opportunity to network and share your business progress with!

How to join in?

Write a blog post as you would normally do and include a link to our website (https://www.handmadebusinessdirectory.co.uk) or the latest Handmade Business Wednesday post, somewhere in your blog post. You can also copy our Handmade Business badge (see below) and place it in your blog sidebar.

Add your blog post to the latest Handmade Business Wednesday blog post using the link tool provided at the bottom of our blog post. It’s very simple to use, you just need the link to your blog post, add the title for your blog and the tool will help you to pick a picture directly from your blog post. Submit and you are done!

What happens afterwards?

Have a look at the other blog posts submitted and pick a couple (or more!) to comment on. This is not only a great way of networking, but it will create additional links to your website.

The not so small print

• Entries are welcome from UK based creative businesses (yours could be part-time or full time, well established or just starting – we don’t really mind)
• All submitted blog posts are required to include a link to our website
• If you have more than one blog post to submit, that’s fine, but don’t over do it and leave some for next week
• Handmade Business Wednesday is open for entries from 5 pm on Tuesday until midnight on Wednesday. You are welcome to submit your link any time and start commenting on the shared blog posts as they arrive.
