Hi I’m Janet and I hope you like my cross stitch kits.
I have been stitching and crafting since I was a girl, with my Mum teaching me how to knit and sew. My love of sewing really kicked off when I was about 16 and I inherited a box full of fabric from an old family friend. I suddenly realised that with a little bit of time and effort I could have a brand new wardrobe full of clothes that would be unique to me. I was hooked!
Over the years my passion for sewing has seen me spend hours doing dressmaking and making curtains, blinds and cushions for my home. But in the background I have always had a love of cross stitch and embroidery and that is where I now find I spend most of my creative hours – and it really can be hours!
My first cross stitch design was for a Christmas card I wanted to make for my Mum. I had spent hours crawling the internet, but couldn’t find any simple modern designs that were suitable. So I decided to create my own. From there the designing took off and now I spend as much time create the designs as I do stitching – and I love it.
I have stitched all of the designs I offer as cross stitch kits, as I want to be sure that there are no mistakes in the patterns and that the thread colours truly work as well as I thought they would. So you can be confident when you buy one of my kits that it will work out just as well as you hoped it would.

Inhouse designing starts with a piece of fabric – which results in original and fun items. Using remnants, out of print designs and a sprinkling of contemporary the look and feel is Scandi, shabby, vintage and what were you thinking!
Suzanne loves bringing your ideas to life as well. So if you’re not a confident sewer, or don’t have time, please get in contact to make it happen.
In 2010 I started on a journey to run my own textile design business in Kent. My vision for Lauraloves. is to create unique home accessories that are luxurious, individual, elegant and striking in design. A sense of exclusivity is at the heart of Lauraloves.
My love for designing, patterns and natural fabrics is shown in every item in the beautiful collection of home accessories at Lauraloves. It is important to me that collections are printed, designed and hand made in Great Britain as too many products are now mass produced abroad and lack individuality.
My vision for Lauraloves is to combine essential textile design qualities with contemporary and classic designs to make luxurious and unique home accessories.
Inspired by the countryside and nature and with the use of crochet as a form of embroidery, Nutmeg and Sage creates original designs for decorating the home. Using a blend of natural materials most items are limited editions and are carefully created as statement pieces to enhance or add feature to all décor themes.
Originally inspired by my nan as a child, who taught me to crochet, I have, over the years, taught myself a number of crafts, many of which I use in my creations.
The Nutmeg and Sage range includes cushions, throws, kitchen textiles, greetings cards and one-off limited edition botanical watercolour giclee prints.
