Art Prints For The Home produces non-traditional popular culture art prints. All our art prints are designed and made from hand cut lino block art work, which is produced by designer & artist team, Rab & Sam.
We use traditional artisan tools to create carvings of interesting items & objects separately. This ranges from fruit & veg to flora and fauna and even galactic and space themed carvings. We have also carved a full alphabet which is based on the classic ‘Frontage’ typography, a timeless modern font dating back to the cafe culture of the 1950’s.
After each individual lino carving is hand printed in solid black ink we dry and scan the art work, and through the process of digitalisation, begin the fun work of colouring and styling the many images and objects into unique and interesting art prints.
We make sure to preserve the beautiful imperfections of the lino, from the release of the ink on the paper to the small scratch and carve marks on the edges. The result is a unique and interesting reproduction art work that boasts a wide colour range and scale.

Biography
Hi, I’m Diane, wife to Glen and mother to aspiring young actress Ellie and gaming mad Josh.
People ask me how did I come up with the idea of using broken old china for creating my pieces. One Christmas Glen, long suffering husband, went into the attic to bring down the decorations. Whilst in there he came across a box of Royal Albert china and brought it down. ‘What are you going to do with this?’ he asks. I looked in the box and the cups and plates had all seen better days and were chipped or the gilding was beginning to fade. It wasn’t good enough to use but too pretty to throw away, hence why it ended up in the attic. I put my thinking cap on and thought of what I could do with the bits and that’s when I thought of mosaic. I’ve never mosaic’d before so it was a big challenge and I didn’t really know where to start.
My first mosaic transformation was a wooden jewellery/ makeup box which I decorated with a flower design and then gave to my lovely mum for Christmas. It took hours and hours of work as the china pieces used in the design were tiny. When using plates, saucers or cups you have to cut the pieces small due to the curvature of the china otherwise the pieces don’t lay flat. Anyway I loved it, and it inspired me to do more and I think the results are fab.
I hate to throw pretty things away and I know other people are the same. I have started a ‘keepsake’ service where I will turn a piece of treasured fine bone china which has been chipped, cracked or broken into a heart keepsake. This is a lovely service to offer for that special piece which has been given as a present or inherited. I can turn it into something to treasure again and will have it’s own special story to tell.
Using old fine bone china and turning into something beautiful again makes me happy.

Biography
No Image AvailableHi I’m Janet and I hope you like my cross stitch kits.
I have been stitching and crafting since I was a girl, with my Mum teaching me how to knit and sew. My love of sewing really kicked off when I was about 16 and I inherited a box full of fabric from an old family friend. I suddenly realised that with a little bit of time and effort I could have a brand new wardrobe full of clothes that would be unique to me. I was hooked!
Over the years my passion for sewing has seen me spend hours doing dressmaking and making curtains, blinds and cushions for my home. But in the background I have always had a love of cross stitch and embroidery and that is where I now find I spend most of my creative hours – and it really can be hours!
My first cross stitch design was for a Christmas card I wanted to make for my Mum. I had spent hours crawling the internet, but couldn’t find any simple modern designs that were suitable. So I decided to create my own. From there the designing took off and now I spend as much time create the designs as I do stitching – and I love it.
I have stitched all of the designs I offer as cross stitch kits, as I want to be sure that there are no mistakes in the patterns and that the thread colours truly work as well as I thought they would. So you can be confident when you buy one of my kits that it will work out just as well as you hoped it would.
